The Roster
1. At current, there is NO limit on the number of Squadmembers that may be assigned to a Squadron, although please keep your Squadron numbers to a reasonable limit, otherwise Restrictions will need to be enforced.
2. Squadrons may have a maximum of 3 Captains. Captains may edit Squadron profiles, promote players to Assistant Captains/Captains, assign/remove players to/from the TWD Roster. Captains also have the ability to manage TWD games.
3. Squadrons may have a maximum of 8 Assistant Captains. Assistant Captains may not make any modifications to the TWD Roster but have the ability to manage TWD games.
4. Any modifications made to the TWD Roster will require a ~5 Minute waiting period so that the Matchbots may be updated with any changes. For example: A Captain promotes a Squadmember to the rank of Assistant Captain, so a 5 minute waiting period is required before any 'In Game' powers are granted to the aforementioned Squadmember.
5. Players are restricted to having 1 name registered to the TWD Roster. If the same Player is found to have multiple nicknames in one particular Squadron, a TWD Operator will randomly delete this Player's nickname, so that only one registered name remains on the TWD Roster.
6. Players with Multiple Nicknames on multiple TWD Squadrons (Doublesquadding) will be barred from participating in any TWD Matches for a certain amount of days and removed from all TWD Squadrons to which they are attached to. If other Squadmembers/Captains are found to have prior knowledge or willingly assisted offending Players to Double-Squad, then the Squadron(s) in it's entirety may have their TWD Rating reset to 900 and will possibly receive a temporary suspension from all TWD activities for a certain amount of days. Pending on the outcome of the TWD Operators' decisions.
6.1 Players on the same Squadron who are caught switching/sharing names together will be barred from participating in any TWD Matches for an extended period of time, as an offence of this sort counts as Double-Squadding. TWD Operators may decide how to correct this situation.
6.2 In regards to the TWD Roster, a Player may only have One name Registered and One name Rostered. If Players are given a name which is currently Registered/Rostered, they are required to Unregister and remove the name from any TWD Rosters. If any inconsistencies to the above are found, the Player will be barred from participating in any TWD Matches for an extended period of time. TWD Operators may decide on when to lift this suspension.
The Game
Dueling (Warbirds)
1. Once a Match has been agreed to, both Squadrons have 5 Minutes to add a Minimum of 4 (Four) Warbirds (I.E. Ship #1 and placed on the Team Frequency).
If one Squadron fails to meet this Minimum then that Squadron forfeits/Loses the current Round.
If both Squadrons fail to meet the Minimum deployment, then the current Round results in a Draw. To Cancel a Match, Captains/Assistant Captains have 30 Seconds to type /!cancel (To the attendant Matchbot) before ANY Players are added. If the adding of Players has already commenced, Cancellation of a Match will only occur if the Captains/Assistant Captains of BOTH Squadrons type: /!cancel (To the attendant Matchbot). This option to Void a Match is available throughout the Entire Match provided that both Squadrons agree. In the event where one Squadron has no Players added, whilst the other Squadron does not have enough Players for Minimum deployment but has a Player currently added, the Squadron which has not added any Players will forfeit the Match
1.1 In the event where one Squadron fails to add any Players during the Line-Up period, that Squadron Forfeits the Entire Match. If both Squadrons have failed to add at least One Player in the game, then the game will be Voided.
2. Captains/Assistant Captains may issue a challenge to play 4 VS 4 or 5 VS 5 Matches. If a Squadron accepts a 5 VS 5 Match but only has 4 Players, they will be disadvantaged with a 10 point Death/Loss. Squadrons who have added 4 Players in a 5 VS 5 Match may opt to commit a 5th Player at any time throughout the Match.
3. Squadrons are allowed One Substitute per Round. A brief waiting period is required before any Substitution requests will be carried out, to guard against Subbing to avoid death.
4. Victory in Warbird Dueling is based on the Best of 3 Rounds. The first Squadron that wins 2 Rounds will automatically win the Match.
4.1 Each Round takes 20 Minutes. If the Scores of both Squadrons are Tied at the end of 20 Minutes, a Time Extension of 5 Minutes will be granted. If a Tie exists after this Extension has expired the current Round will result in a Draw.
4.2 All Matches have a maximum of 5 Rounds, therefore a maximum of 2 Draw results are possible.
5. Your Squadron's overall Score is determined by the Sum of the Opposing Squadron's Death/Losses.
Javelin
1. Please refer to the section regarding Dueling Warbirds.
2. Players have 30 Seconds upon Spawning to enter the Base. Players who fail to make it to Base before the 30 Seconds
will be spec'ed and removed from the current Round.
3. The Boundary/Border that exists between Outside Base and Inside Base is 5 TILES beneath the LOWEST part of the Base.
This will permit limited movement along the bottom of the Base.
4. Please note that Time spent outside of Base is calculated from the moment you are Spawned. If you make it to Base but
decide to leave Base for any reason 31 Seconds after Spawning, you will be spec'ed immediately without prior warning.)
Basing
1. Basing challenges may be issued for 5 VS 5 - 8 VS 8. If a Basing Match starts out at 5 VS 5 - 7 VS 7, Captains/Assistant Captains may make additional deployments by Private Messaging the attending Matchbot with /!addplayer (Note, a Maximum of 8 Players is permitted for each Round of the Match.)
2. Regarding Ship Type deployment there are no restrictions on the number of Javelins, Weasels, Warbirds and Spiders. A Maximum of 2 Sharks and 1 Terrier is permitted. The deployment of Leviathans is prohibited.
3. Basing Matches have only One round and end once either Squadron has held the Flag for 15 Minutes, resulting in a Victory.
4. During Basing Matches, Squadrons are permitted a maximum of:
a. 2 Shipchanges. (Changing from one type of Ship to another through use of Command Format: /!change x:y [Where x is the name of the Player and y is the desired Ship type.])
b. 3 3 Shipswitches. (Switching Ship types between two Teammates through use of Command Format: /!switch x:y [Where x is one Player and y is the other Player.])
a. 3 Subsitutes. (Subsituting Players through use of Command Format: /!sub x:y [Where x is the name of the Player being Subsituted and y is the name of the Player replacing her/him.])
Spider
1. Please refer to the section regarding Dueling Warbirds.
2. The team has a total of 50 deaths. Unlike the other fighting divisions, the deaths are not player-specific, but rather team-specific.
When a team has 50 deaths the round will end.
Miscellaneous
1. In the event where Matchbot is disconnected from an arena, the current Match will be declared void.
2. TWD Matches are Logged for review by TWD Operators.
3. In the event where you wish to make a complaint against a TW Staff Member,
or if MatchBot is malfunctioning and fouling up the Match, you may send an e-mail to trenchwarsleagues@N0-SPAM!yahoo.com. Please include the relevant details regarding what was wrong, when it happened and where. Also, include the names of Your Squadron and that of the Opposing Squadron.
4. If you would like to discuss any TWD related topics with other players, there is a forum in which you can do so: http://forums.trenchwars.org/forumdisplay.php?f=26.
5. Intentionally or willingly allowing your squad to alter their TWD score in any fashion other than competitive TWD games is illegal.
6. The rules listed above are subject to change at any time and discretion is left to TWD operators. Contact a TWD op before commiting questionably illegal acts.
The Ladder
1. Each Division (Dueling, Javelin, Basing) is categorized under it's own Ladder. Squadrons will appear on relevant Ladders in the order of what their Squadron Rating is. Squadrons with the highest Ratings will appear at the top of the Ladder.
2. Ladder listings are current for 3 days (In the case of TWDD/TWJD) and 7 Days (For TWBD). If a Squadron has not currently played Matches in any of these Categories, then their name will be invisible from the Ladder Listing. Effective as of 2003 January 13th.
3. The ELO rating system formula can be found at the following link: http://forums.trenchwars.org/showthread.php?t=15162
